Meet the Artist
I have always had a strong passion for art in all forms. Which in my youth served as a distraction from my scholarly duties. However, all of my doodling and crafting trained me well in proportion and perspective. It was my love of art that lead me to where I am today. In my work I strive for photo realism. A great deal of joy comes over me when someone points to my work and asks ” is that your reference image”. It has only happened once so far, but it was only a few months into my use of Maya . I know I still have a lot to learn and that I have less experience than others. However I also know I have been keeping up with people who have years more experience than I.
Due to a mix up with the counselor at my school, I was placed in the wrong degree program. I realized the mistake once I was in my second semester and still had not yet taken a class teaching computer graphics of any kind. Unfortunately fixing the mistake involved taking two years worth of project classes in one year. To prepare for this I went through the book Introducing Maya 2011 a month before my first semester of project classes. I took Intro to 3D and Advanced 3D within the same semester. It wasn’t easy, but I made it with flying colors. With how much my skills have advanced in less than a year, I discovered that I am a fast learner and a committed worker. I actually love what I do and I very much look forward to seeing what I can do in future.
